Coat of arms
The coat of arms of Kenya consists of an East-African shield supported by two lions holding spears. The shield is divided in three parts by horizontal bands. In the middle section a rooster holding an axe is depicted. The whole is standing on a representation of Mount Kenya with several plants like tea, sisal, maize, pyrethrum and coffee. Below the banner says: "HARAMBEE", which is Swahili for 'All for One'.
