Christoffel (Chris) van Draanen
Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt, Utrecht (NLD)
1 December 1988 - 31 December 2000 (marks from 1989-1999) BiographyVan Draanen was the first non-metallurgic mint master. He choose his privy mark, the bow and arrow, because his star sign is sagittarius. He was persistent in prolonging and reinforcing the reorganization work done by his predecessors De Jong en Van den Berg. Therefor he urged companies and cities to order more tokens for celebrating events to make this line of work more important and even the most profit-making industry of the Mint. Van Draanen was a known opposite of the common desing of the euro coin.
