Emblem
The national emblem of Algeria (1971-1976) shows the crescent and 5-pointed star (common Islamic symbols) underneath two national flags diverging and three ears of wheat which in turn are below the Hand of Fatima. The whole is surrounded by a wreath consisting of an olive branch and a palm branch bound together by a banner.
