Coat of Arms
The coat of arms of Bahrain consists of an escutcheon divided in two sections by a dentated line. The line has 5 dentations referring to the 5 pillars of Islam. The escutcheon is mantled by a wreath.

Fils and filsan in Arabic: "فلوس", "فلسا", "فلس" and "فلساً"Eventhough the term fils is singular it is usually used on higher value coins as well (100 fils for instance). Denominations between 2 and 10 are called filis or fulūs and written in Arabic as "فلوس". Denominations from 11 to 99 are called filsan which is written as "فلسا".
