National emblem of Bhutan
The national emblem of Bhutan consists of a disc decorated with a double vajra held by two dragons. The vajra is a symbol of harmony between religious and secular powers, while the dragons stand for the name of the country (land of dragons). The vajra is placed on a lotus (purity) and is surmounted by a jewel (in the centre) which stands for the nation's sovereignty.
