Coat of Arms
The national coat of arms of Chile consists of an escutcheon divided horizontally in two fields and decorated with a 5-pointed star in the middle. The supporters are a condor and huemul, both crowned with the nave crown. The escutcheon is crowned with three plumes. Underneath the banner on the pedestal says: "POR LA RAZÓN O LA FUERZA", which means 'By reason or force'.
