Coat of Arms
The coat of arms of Moldova consists of an escutcheon decorated with an auroch with the sun between its horns, which are traditional signs of Moldova. The auroch is flanked by two diamonds or lozenges, a flower and a crescent. The escutcheon is held by an eagle holding an olive branch and scepter in its claws and Christian cross in the beak. The tail is three-fold symbolizing the three regions of Moldova: Transnistria, Gagauzia and Central Moldova.
