National Coat of Arms
The national coat of arms of the Solomon Islands consists of an escutcheon divided in two sections. The lower section consists of a shield over spears and a bow, flanked by two turtles. The upper section shows an eagle flanked by two other birds. The escutcheon is supported by a crocodile and a shark. On top of the escutcheon a helmet topped by a war canoe and the sun can be seen. The escutcheon rests on a double headed Frigate bird sable and a ribbon with the motto of the Solomon Islands "TO LEAD IS TO SERVE".
