Coat of Arms
The national coat of Arms of Vanuatu consists of a Melanesina warrior holding a spear and standing on a volcanoe. In the back the state symbol: a rounded tusk of a wild boar (sign of prosperity, wealth) superimposed by two leaves of palm (symbolizing peace). The banner underneath the warrior says in Bislama "LONG GOD YUMI STANAP", meaning: In God we stand, the national motto.
