First coin to bear the new mark was the "Tenth Anniversary $2 coin". The marks consists of a capital letter "M" (for money or monnaie) bearing a crown. The two form a maple leaf the national sign of Canada. A line in the middle splits the mark forming an appearance of two dies hammering a coin.
