Coat of Arms
The coat of arms of Pope Pius XII (1939-1958) consists of a central escutcheon is decorated with a dove holding a laurel leave of a lily. Behind the escutcheon are two crossed keys (Keys of Peter). The whole is superceded by the Papal Tiara.
Monogram of Pope John Paul II?: "IP2" with superimposed "S"This is my best guess of what this might be. It seems to read "IP2" which might refer to Pope John Paul II (the Pope at the time). In Latin his name was Ioannes Paulus II, hence the "I" instead of a "J". The superimposed "S" would probably stand for sovereign or superanus.
